How soon in advance should we book a caterer?
It is very important to book your date as soon as you can. Clients typically book caterers 6 to 12 months before the date.  

What is the deposit amount to reserve Simply Southern Catering service for my date?
We require a $250.00 deposit. We accept cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.

When is my final guest count and final payment due?
​Final guest and payments are due one week prior to event details.

Is gratuity/tip included in my proposal?
Yes, there is an additional 18% gratuity added to final invoice. You are allowed to add additional gratuity/tip if you would like.

What does the service staff wear?
For elegant affairs our staff wears black slacks, white long sleeved collared shirts, black close toed shoes, black vests and black bow ties.
For casual events our staff wears black slacks, black shirts and black close toed shoes.

How many staff members do I need for my event?
We base the final number of staff depending on your final guest count, selected menus and service type. 

What does the service staff do at the event?
They set up, serve and replenish food, bus tables, and clean up buffet and drink areas before leaving the event.

​Can your staff cut and serve the cake?
We do offer cake cutting service at an additional cost, which is determined by the guest number.

​Can I schedule a tasting of food you will prepare?
We offer complimentary tastings, up to three entrees, at your convenience. That gives a great idea of our cooking style and flavors. 

Do you provide linens?
We do provide linens on all tables we set such as buffets, beverage and hors d'oeuvres. We can suggest places we have worked with to help you with your linen selections.

​Do you offer bar services?
We do not offer bar services as we do not have a liquor license. 

Is there a charge for children? 
Children under 3 are free. Children ages 4 and up are counted as one for every two guests.

What is your cancellation policy?
Your deposit is non-returnable once paid, however you are able to transfer to another event date if needed.
